Interesting statistics on A442

LETTER - The statistics discussed in the Shropshire Star on the accident rate on the A442 through Telford comparing before and after safety measures had been put in place made interesting reading.

They are not however, as is always the case with statistics, the whole story. I must admit at first I was sceptical about the scheme but as a regular user of the A442 I have found it on the whole to be well thought out and conclude that, for once, the traffic management department has got it right.

Is this the same team that designed the traffic light controlled roundabouts in Telford? If so congratulations on a job well done, straight roads are obviously your forte.

Could I be so bold as to request you now get a good roundabout team in place to complement your straight-line expertise. Perhaps then Telford traffic would start to move freely.
