Bosses behind a multi-million pound scheme to redevelop Telford Town Centre were today unveiling more details about their proposals.
Southwater Event Group plans to triple the capacity of Telford International Centre with a new 300-bed hotel.
It is hoped the building will help meet increasing demand for conferences that the venue is experiencing year on year.
The plans are directly linked to the development of the Southwater Square area, which will cover more than 120 acres.
The Southwater Event Group, which comprises the International Centre, Holiday Inn, the International Hotel, Grays Hotel and Tic Stagecraft, also has a new chairman, Keith Greetham.
He will represent the event group in the negotiations with Telford & Wrekin Council, Transforming Telford and English Partnerships in the planned joint venture to redevelop the town centre.
