Little hope of finding job in town

The Government talks about getting people off incapacity benefit back into work. Who is going to employ them? Forty per cent claim it because of mental illness.

I regularly look round Shrewsbury town centre for work and all I see is shop work, which is either part-time or temporary and previous experience is desired/ essential.

Also most cafes employ young girls/women in Shrewsbury. They say you cannot be discriminated against because of your gender, this is not true.

If a cafe owner or manager does not want to employ you because you are male you cannot force them to take you on.

The constant influx of immigrants only makes it more difficult for job hunters. I see a bleak future in this country, which I think will not improve with time. I would be surprisedÊto be proved wrong.

People may call me a pessimist, I prefer to think myself to be a realist.
