ParkRight should be thanked

Recent articles and letters published in the Star from complaining motorists have given an unbalanced view on the good work being carried by the borough council's Sandy Harper and his ParkRight team.

I would be grateful therefore, if you would allow me to redress this imbalance by thanking ParkRight for the often thankless task their attendants carry out.

Prior to ParkRight taking control of parking enforcement, the town centre was in a state of anarchy, with the local police not replacing leaving traffic wardens.

Think what the town centre traffic flow would be like now if illegally parked vehicles were added to the chaos being caused by the ongoing refurbishment.

So, Mr Harper, please hold firm when being grumbled at. Those of us who live outside of the town centre thank you for at last providing your attendants with vehicles to allow us to receive the same excellent service as town centre residents.
