The "slap-up shindig" at the e-innovation Centre was, in reality, our provision of a roll-up display panel to demonstrate our support for the University of Wolverhampton e-innovation Centre's official launch, which I'm sure readers will agree is very important for stimulating local enterprise.

Our continued support for such initiatives and, in particular, local business is vital for the local economy and the town as a place for people to live and work.

The views of the local residents are of equal importance, as demonstrated by the recent coverage in this newspaper about a public exhibition held to show local people our vision for the Southwater area, on November 8, 9 and 10.
