Give credit to the young
Recently Meals on Wheels celebrated 60 years. Along with Age Concern and others, this was marked by a lovely free lunch, entertainment and raffle at Chillcott Gardens residential care home, Bridgnorth Road, Madeley.

Everyone involved gave their time with smiles and worked hard. Myself, I was so lucky to be waited on by a delightful young lady called Sarah.
These young ladies, I think, come from a senior school or college. Wherever they came from, they were a credit to youth. I think some young men were involved also.
Whatever, my helper called Sarah will remain as a delightful memory of a lovely day.
So different from the time when some thug stole my garden lamps from my patio and plants. They left the one that was not working and took the working ones.
Why don't we give credit to the good youth of today, of which there are many. These lovely, kind young people are our hopes of tomorrow, as nurses, doctors, shop assistants, mechanics, builders, etc.
Thank you Sarah and all of you kind people for a nice day. Also thanks to Age Concern, Chillcott Gardens and everyone concerned.
Della Bailey, Madeley
