Surprised by view on property
As a National Trust member and a recent visitor to Sunnycroft in Wellington, I was surprised to read the letter from a correspondent, from Wrexham, who described her experience of the property.
As a National Trust member and a recent visitor to Sunnycroft in Wellington, I was surprised to read the letter from a correspondent, from Wrexham, who described her experience of the property.
The main concern in the letter was of the lack of stalls and attractions, complaining of the poor quality of the ice creams and the lack of space in the tea room.
Was she not at all interested in the architecture or the authentic Edwardian furniture that creates a perfect illustration of life for the middle classes in those bygone days?
It is a sad reflection of society that we are more concerned with the difficulty in parking and of finding a seat in the cafeteria than of the real purpose of preserving such properties.
