One wonders what connections the Davieses have with your newspaper.

Gary does not have to write to your letters page. You provide him with editorial and photographs at every opportunity. It's amazing you don't publish his holiday snaps, but I suppose there is still time.

Shaun Davies writes some appalling drivel, yet you publish almost immediately.

In his attempt to suck up to his hero David Wright, you published his letter congratulating the MP on his wonderful idea to press for alcohol-free zones.

Just for Shaun's information, Vic Tonks and Anton Brothwood raised this issue at Pact meetings some time ago and arrangements were put in hand to bring the suggestion to the borough council, but on the way Anton revealed the plan to David Wright, who is never slow to jump on a bandwagon. He quickly grasped it as his idea.

Shaun Davies goes on to say some people have been working hard for two-and-a-half years on Dawley Regeneration Partnership, but one prominent member of the Labour administration whom he admires greatly was put in charge of economic development and did precisely nothing. That fact is minuted.

Finally I think your printing of a letter describing the colleagues of Andrew Eade as henchmen shows extremely poor taste.

I have my doubts whether you will publish this letter - but should you dare please do so in its entirety.
