Angry I didn't get pension
In Saturday's Shropshire Star you printed a letter from Daniel Kawczynski MP, in which he states that he is "angry about the way people are treated".

I am totally disgusted. I was 60 on July 27. Did I get my pension? Did I heck.
I completed a form in April and a telephone claim on June 14. You would think that would give them time to sort things, but no.
When I inquired about my retirement pensions I was told there was a problem tracing paperwork.
On Friday, August 24, I received confirmation of what I was entitled to. Between times I had been receiving emergency payments.
So 22 phone calls is not really a lot - I spent three days phoning and ran up a £10 phone bill, which I am asking the DWP to pay.
Yes, the Government is very quick at taking our taxes from the very first second you step into your work place, but because my birthday was on a Friday and the payment day is Tuesday, I have lost two days money.
I have written to Gordon Brown and to the DWP and am still awaiting a reply.
