Don't get rid of all the fields
The initial conception of high density housing estates such as Woodside depended, absolutely, on the provision of green space around them.
The initial conception of high density housing estates such as Woodside depended, absolutely, on the provision of green space around them.
Telford & Wrekin Council has eroded the green space around Woodside with new housing developments - now the final large area is to be taken away from Telford Trust and be used for a school or academy with, no doubt, yet more housing being built on the site of the old Madley Court school.
This may be a very commercially beneficial plan but I wonder if it is morally correct or in the best interests of the people of Madeley or Woodside.
The plan will devastate many plants and wildlife struggling to establish themselves in the green fields as well as the loss of a valuable facility for young families to react together in a safe environment.
The effect on roads will be of enormous consequence.
We often see complaints of anti-social behaviour and obese children but who is going to put their hands up and say 'It is my fault. I took all their green space away'.
Will it be you?
Mr P B Davies, Woodside
