Bit late to improve junction

Yes, it is about time that improvements were made there, but what a pity that the now proposed £650,000 was not spent when the A5 ring road was built in the first place.
To most of us lay people, who are not trained highway planners, it was obvious that the junction of two major roads to Wales and South Shropshire, was going to be a bottle neck.
As well as the junction, there was also the garden centre and the new services.
The junction should have had a fly-over from the start. The Highways Agency was negligent at the planning stage and should have been taken to task there and then, because eventually, whether they like it or not, that is the only long term solution and they will have to find the funding.
Let's hope the traffic lights works, but with regard to Mr Kawczynski's comments about the M54 junction 4 scheme, many Telford commuters don't share his optimism.
