Keep up the good work!

I have read Mr Johnson's letter about firefighters sleeping.

How does he think they take the calls in the control room 24 hours a day if they're asleep? We need a local control room because of the local knowledge within it and that of Shropshire's brigade.

As for people like your writer and other critics of our fire service I say this. How much sleep have the crews of Shropshire had during this last week with all the floods and how many people would have lost their lives if they had not used all their strength without sleep for hours on end?

Finally, I say to the lads and girls of the brigade, keep up the excellent work.
