£10m for Blair obscene

I, like I suspect a good many others,)am tired of hearing about a £10 million golden handshake for Tony Blair.

May I ask what makes him or anyone else think they are entitled to receive such an obscene "pay-off" for completing a job they have already been well paid for over the past few years.

Let's not forget the "free housing" and countless free holidays, hair styles and all the other "perks" he and his family have received during his time in office.

If Mr Blair had any conscience or morality about him, if he cared as deeply for the welfare of this country and its people as he claims, he would refuse this grotesque misuse of public funds and ask that it instead be used to put right the shortfalls in things like the NHS, the undermanned police force, or how about a realistic weekly Income Support payment for people expected to survive on just £57.65.

After all if an individual needs £119 to live at 60 years of age, why are people of 59 years and below told they need only half that amount? When all is said and done their utility bills cost exactly the same.

This country is riddled with discrimination, the Government perpetrates most of it, and now we have to listen to this. Food and resources will be taken from the people of this country to make one man and his family more than comfortable for the rest of their lives.

I, for one, am tired of having my face rubbed in the undeserved profits of those already "well heeled", when in the next breath people fighting cancer are told their local health authority won't fund drug therapy.

Shame on you Mr Blair, and shame on a Government that continues to think it can provide millionaire lifestyles for each other at the expense of the nation.
