Incensed by views on McCanns
Seldom, if ever, have I been so incensed as when reading the letter from Stuart Parker suggesting the parents of Madeleine McCann should be prosecuted for neglect.

They were just 50 yards away and making frequent checks. Has Mr Parker never put his children to bed and attended to his garden leaving the children in a possibly unlocked house?
Or has he lost sight of them for a few moments in a park or shopping centre? Let them go on a school trip or with friends out cycling or swimming? Has he ever taken his children in a car where the chances of death or injury due to someone's mistake happen to thousands of children every year?
No! I am sure he keeps his children triple wrapped in cotton wool, attached to him by a strong leash 24 hours of every day, but for those of us living in the real world, we are eternally thankful when it doesn't happen to us and have the deepest sympathy for Madeleine and her parents.
Every parent who has lost a child in whatever circumstances, would like to put the clock back. It's called the "if only" syndrome.
Do not think that because someone is evil they lack intelligence. They are quite capable of waiting and planning for an opportunity to pounce.
The fact remains that since the Algarve became a holiday resort decades ago, hundreds of millions of family holidays have been taken there without such a tragedy. The last thing the McCanns need is being told what it's like to be perfect.
