Action needed to improve area
I refer to the recent comments from Dennis Allen in the Shropshire Star on Saturday, April 28.
I refer to the recent comments from Dennis Allen in the Shropshire Star on Saturday, April 28.
Mr Allen, a local councillor, has never lived adjacent to the six blocks of flats in Dothill, Wellington, or indeed experienced the prostitution and violence that was once a way of life for the degenerate people who held office in some of the blocks of flats, which have now been empty for four years.
He was democratically elected to represent the ward, but like so many of these people can only be seen at election time.
Mr Allen is not prepared to listen to voters who have been trying to get the Wrekin Housing Trust to commit to the redevelopment of this site, which will enhance the quality of life for many of the residents who live adjacent to the flats, including myself, not to mention the nearby infant school.
I have written to the Telford and Wrekin Housing Trust who share this responsibility to the people.
The residents have been denied an improved quality of life by this whole mess.
As taxpayers we are entitled to a better landscape, and better quality homes - which we are resolute we will get regardless of the hideous ideas and statements by Mr Allen, who in my opinion should resign his office.
John Groves, Telford
