Investment needed in the Gorge

As a regular business visitor to the Telford area I have noted over the years the increasing use of Ironbridge in marketing for the area.

I am now at the end of a 10-day leisure stay with family and friends in and around the area and have spent some very enjoyable days and evenings down in the gorge.

On my final day, I was reading your publication and noted an advertisement for a new Indian restaurant.

However, the reason for writing is a line from the mayor who apparently is "welcoming the investment" in the area made by the new owners of the aforementioned premises.

May I, as a humble visitor, suggest that the council invests a little money in the jewel in its crown?

Despite the efforts of businesses, the public areas are appalling, with exorbitant car parking charges, closed toilet facilities and rude/idle public servants.

Something must be done to bring these up to scratch.
