Opening times disappointing

It was a major disappointment to discover that the grounds of Attingham Park would not remain open until 8pm as in previous seasons.

This seems a mean decision as many people go out on spring and summer evenings to enjoy the special atmosphere in the grounds.

I phoned the hall to ask the reasons for the change and hit a PR brick wall in the form of puzzlement and contempt.

Guessing that the individual I had spoken to was part of the decision-making was the closest I came to an explanation, along with the thought that after 5.30pm there would not be anyone available to collect the admission money.
