Powys operation moves towns
Some people are still surprised to hear the Shropshire Star has an office in Newtown, writes our News Blogger David Burrows. Some people reading this will be thinking right now: "Newtown? Well I never."

Well, guess what. It's not there anymore. It's in a new town. Not Newtown, a NEW town. Got it? Good.
From today the Star's Powys operation has a brand spanking new office in Welshpool.
Our Mid Wales operatives are delighted with the move. Well, reporter Mike Sivier probably has some reservations...he already lived an hour away from the Newtown HQ, and now faces an extra half an hour on the roads every morning. No Weetabix for him in the morning.
Our reporters are still keen to hear from anyone with any stories in Mid Wales - an important edition for us. New contact details were published in tonight's Star.
As a side issue, as I was writing this blog, one of my colleagues suggested I should have written about my runny nose instead.
Think yourselves lucky...I could have been as equally informative as I have been today, but slightly more discusting.
