Action on council is needed

It is okay to block Church Street for over 12 months, and it is okay to have the Jerningham Arms car park as an eyesore for two to three years.

It is perfectly in line with the town council's local plan to build a monstrosity of a building in Aston Street, making it dangerous to leave the car park. It is also perfectly OK for the council to allow the old court house and fire station to fall derelict.

I would strongly suggest that none of these features are by any means "sympathetic" to the town's historical background.

Bring along a hotel that employs numerous people from within the community, who purchases most of its supplies from local farmers and butchers and as a result brings economic growth to the community, but you cannot have a sign as it is not "sympathetic" to the hotel's listed building status.

Somebody, somewhere, needs to tackle the pomposity of Shifnal Town Council. so please Bridgnorth DC get a grip.
