Cardboard collections unreliable

What has happened to Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council's collection service for garden waste and cardboard? We were told that during December, January and February we would have one collection per month.

On the evening prior to the due date in December I put out garden waste and cardboard. It was not collected until the following week when it was collected with the general rubbish and, I presume, taken to the landfill site.

In January I again put out recyclable materials the night before the due date.

It has yet to be collected and despite several phone calls and e-mails the only information that I have been given is that my problem has been "logged". Does that mean they will be collecting? I have no idea.

In February I shall be joining the majority of my neighbours who no longer put out recyclable materials for collection as the service is so unreliable.
