Not purely about car park fees
Tell me if I'm wrong, but I always believed that in a democracy having a majority of seats above all others meant being in control. Telford And Wrekin People's Association (TAWPA) doesn't stand for car park charges alone.

Telford And Wrekin People's Association (TAWPA) doesn't stand for car park charges aloneand, if Shaun Davies had followed the Dawley Magna by-election with the interests he alleges, he would know that from our election literature.
Phil Davis was a councillor for Dawley Magna and a leader of the council during a period when we all witnessed a huge decline in the prosperity of Dawley. I hope to represent Dawley during a time when we can return the district to the prosperity of my youth.
For Shaun Davies's information one of the first meetings I arranged following my election was with the officer leading the Dawley Regeneration Partnership to offer whatever help I could.
For Mr Davies's further information an e-mail sent to the leader of the council by a leading cabinet member recently expressed regret that the Labour group did not implement car park charges across the borough.
In reply he was told to keep such thoughts for private group meeting. For that reason we remain vigilant.
The Labour councillors acknowledge that most of the electorate are against the City Region plans that they endorse, but their leader insists that they remain loyal to the party, in effect disregarding the will of the voters. In response to this, I say make this an issue for May 3 and see what that does for the Labour majority.
Cllr Adrian Williams, Telford
