It was the calm before the storm at the Spragg household last night.

On Monday the three Spragg sisters - Joanna, Melissa and Jenna - will all take on different surnames at the same time when they get married at Rowton Castle.

The smiles and laughter from the whole family, parents Don and Pam included, told a story of excitement and, maybe, a few nerves as well.

Joanna, 28, is marrying her boyfriend of the last 11 years, Shaun Baker, while Melissa, 24, is marrying her partner Gavin Williams and Jenna, 21, will be married to Christopher Melville.

All three sisters live near their parents' house in Priorslee, Telford.

Mother Pam explained: "Joanna and Shaun planned two years ago to have a December wedding at Rowton Castle.

"Then Jenna came back from holiday and said that they were going to get married the following August.

"Then Melissa piped up saying that they wanted to get married in May in between the two of them.

"That's three weddings in nine months. We were on our way organising Joanna's and when we came to do the guests lists we realised they were all similar.

"It didn't really make sense and Shaun suggested that all the weddings happen together and it all snowballed from there."

Joanna and Shaun are honeymooning at Sandals resort in Jamaica, Melissa and Gavin are going to the Maldives, and Jenna and Christopher are going to Devon.

Joanna said last night: "I am looking forward to it now - but I've been waiting for this for two years since we got engaged.

"For me it's taken some of the pressure off. If something goes wrong there's three of us dealing with it, not just me, and I know Jenna feels like that too."

Melissa, 24, added: "Whatever happens, happens. I just want it to be now!"
