Country's stability on the wane
How can a government be so stupid as to keep giving away public money to maintain a military presence in countries we should not be in, throwing money daily at a very doubtful union, robbing the people of road fund tax input by 80 to 90 per cent.
How can a government be so stupid as to keep giving away public money to maintain a military presence in countries we should not be in, throwing money daily at a very doubtful union, robbing the people of road fund tax input by 80 to 90 per cent, giving very little in road maintenance for the rest, contemplating community charge increases while watching the NHS go down the pan and always telling us the opposite.
And, to cap it all, they give themselves salary and pension increases.
Just how much do these individuals think they can bleed out of us? They must reside on a different planet.
Anarchy round the corner springs to mind. Having worked in various countries I have no prejudice to any race, colour or religion but surely a government should concentrate on putting and maintaining our country's interest first and then assist the less fortunate.
Finally, as a senior citizen I have observed the stability of our own and other countries deteriorate in recent years - not, I feel, unconnected to the antics of the dynamic duo Bush and Blair.
