School has destroyed community

Re: Shirley Tart's article of October 18. I speak with authority on her comment that Old Hall School has now become part of the local community. As part of the local community I am able to say that this is far from true.

My house, like others, overlooked a green field, and in it I could see rabbits, foxes, weasels, buzzards, kestrels and skylarks. In the evening, moths, bats and owls were attracted.

At the beginning of the year this area was turned into a red sandstone desert, upon which grew a brick building and Tarmac.

Instead of the lark singing and the buzzard mewing, I hear children and teachers. At night there are lights on fully lit until late at night.

The Old Hall School has not become part of the community, it has destroyed the community.
