A lack of thought on vehicles
Having experienced the traffic scenario at Waterloo Road, Ketley, and all the daily hold-ups of the parents taking their children to the Hadley Learning Centre, this is only what I expected to happen.
The council does not seem to care about what happens outside any of the schools. For years now there have been problems, outside most of the schools caused by lack of thought about traffic.
The head at the HLC said vehicles were allowed on to the new school campus. The powers that be knew there would be a problem, where were they supposed to go?
Now we are told all will be well in January when the new car parks finally open.
This is again a recipe for disaster. Crescent Road and the surrounding roads in Hadley are not going to be able to cope with all that extra traffic, the roads are not designed for it.
The exit from Crescent Road onto Waterloo Road is a blind junction at the moment and an accident waiting to happen. Again no thought has gone into this and it is about time that children and parents had a safe passage to and from school.
Better arrangements should have been made while the HLC was being built. The council should have done the job properly and not waited until the completion of the HLC.
