Fed up of paying for others

I am sending this letter to you in response to a recent article. The headline was "Fury over bungalow share" and it concerned Lee Holland. He was complaining that after his shelter had closed the council had housed him at The Raven Hotel for 10 days, he then had to share a bungalow with another man.

Fury is the word describing my feelings when reading this.

Here is a man in his prime who appears to think that the hard-working, taxpaying public should keep him in comfort for the rest of his days.

What would happen if we all took this approach in life and chose to join him?

I work six days a week and I'm sick of hearing bone idle scroungers whining about life.

When I left school, 40 odd years ago, the teacher said to me, before you can take anything out of the pot you have to put something into it.

People like Lee Holland should remember this.

PS Please could you give me and my wife a 10 days' full-paid break?

E Longley, Whitchurch
