Introduce referenda

I am not surprised that North Shropshire District Council is going to introduce car-parking charges against the clear wish of the majority - why should the council listen to the electorate?

Ignoring five petitions opposing the parking charges is proof that something is very wrong with the current system.

UKIP has always advocated the introduction of binding local and national referenda, to ensure voters' voices are acted on.

Next time you vote, maybe you will vote for a party committed to restoring proper democracy.
