Coach trip to world war sites

The War Research Society is run mainly by retired and serving police officers and ex-servicemen as a charitable hobby. It was founded more than 30 years ago and supports a number of causes, including the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the Royal British Legion, Normandy Widows and Veterans and other charities.

We will be running a coach to Ypres, the Somme and other World War I battlefield areas.

The visit culminates with the attendance at the Armistice service at the Menin Gate in Ypres at 11am on November 11.

Visits to requested cemeteries can be made, so if you had a relative killed in that war, you could visit the grave or memorial on this date.

We would be grateful of a stamped addressed envelope to accompany any request by your readers.
