We're far from pests on roads
Reply to Concerned Countryman, Bridgnorth - Shropshire Star, August 15. I was angered to read Concerned Countryman's account of motorcyclists as "pests on our roads".

I am a motorcyclist who commutes 30 miles to and from work every day, rain or shine. During my journey I encounter car and van drivers who are either on their mobile phones, eating, smoking, reprogramming their sat-nav and even reading newspapers.
How many motorcyclists do you see participating in any such activity whilst riding? If Concerned Countryman wants to make our roads more bearable he should start looking a little closer to home.
