Ronaldo out to hero's welcome
Is everybody suffering from some kind of mass amnesia sweeping the nation? What a fickle country we live in. A country where a good old simple hate campaign can't run its course.
It was only recently that cheating Portuguese winker Ronaldo played his first game in England since 'roo-uning' our chances of World Cup glory.
He ran the gauntlet of abuse at Oxford as the home fans bombarded him with chewing gum and other missiles. But all our tabloids pelted him with was praise.
Weren't these the papers that were so quick to jump on his cheating back?
At Old Trafford last Friday he received a hero's welcome. And Man Utd fans wonder why they are so hated. Have people forgotten what he did to us?
If by Christmas he's handled the pressure, then and only then, may I be able to look at his ugly face in the paper without punching it.
I am annoyed.
