Plans have been approved for a new outside seating area at The Barley in Newport as part of a refurbishment project.
Telford & Wrekin Council have approved plans for the listed building which include adaptions to the existing outside pergola and replacing a door at the rear.
Plans also include repairs to the front door and steps to the building – which dates back to early in the 19th century with painted brick to an earlier 17th century timber frame.
“The works are within the curtilage of the existing site; carefully considered and carried out to integrate with the existing historical features of the building,” said applicant Star Pubs & Bars in their design and access statement.
