Judy Garland's daughter Lorna Luft to play Birmingham

Judy Garland's daughter and half-sister of Liza Minnelli, Lorna Luft is set to bring her solo show to Birmingham.

The American television, stage, film actress and singer is coming to BrindleyPlace's Pizza Express to talk about her childhood, business career, and personal journey.

Lorna will also perform a variety of songs from the Great American Songbook, made famous by Judy and many others.

The 65-year-old star made her show business debut at age 11 singing Santa Claus Is Coming to Town on the 1963 Christmas episode of Garland's CBS television series, The Judy Garland Show.

She then made her Broadway debut in 1971 at the Shubert Theatre as a replacement cast member in the musical Promises, Promises, adapted from the classic 1960 Billy Wilder film The Apartment.

Lorna broke into the world of film in 1982 when she appeared in Grease 2. This was followed by roles in Where the Boys Are '84, 54, My Giant and more.

Her 1998 book Me and My Shadows: A Family Memoir was adapted into an Emmy-winning TV mini-series Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadow - starring Judy Davis, Tammy Blanchartd, Hugh Laurie, Victor Garber and Marsha Mason.

Lorna Luft will play BrindleyPlace's Pizza Express on March 10.
