The restaurant, on Old Potts Way, takes the place of The Beaten Track pub and re-opened to diners last week.

The opening followed a six week closure while the renovation work and recruitment drive was undertaken.

The new restaurant can seat more than 160 diners and has created dozens of new jobs.

It has been refurbished as part of the Mitchells & Butlers' acquisition of 173 Orchid sites in 2014.

General managers Neal and Terri Stockham, said they had received a positive response from those who have visited the restaurant so far.

Mr Stockham said: "Bringing a new Harvester to Shrewsbury is really exciting for the whole team and guests have been very complimentary about the restaurant since it opened.

"We want to create a destination restaurant for feel-good dining and we're thrilled to be providing Shrewsbury with a new restaurant and great tasting food that Harvester is renowned for.

"The team are excited to welcome more guests into the restaurant and we would encourage anyone who hasn't been to the Harvester Beaten Track to come and find out what we're all about."
