[gallery] Transport enthusiasts have been enjoying a host of classic engines and other attractions at Shrewsbury Steam Rally.

The event, organised by the County of Salop Steam Engine Society, was held at Onslow Park.
It was continuing today as part of an event showcasing more than 1,000 exhibits.
This year is extra special as organisers are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Sentinel steam wagon production coming to Shrewsbury. Sentinel wagon Manufacturing was moved in 1915 from Glasgow to a new factory in Shrewsbury alongside the London and North Western Railway mainline to Crewe from the old works in Glasgow.
The company produced many steam and diesel-powered engines in Shrewsbury with production continuing until the late 1950s.
Don Metcalfe, committee member, said the first day had gone well. He said: "It was a good day, the rain held off. A lot of people attended and had fun. There were lots of activities going on including tug-of-war, a falconry display and over 1,000 of exhibits.
"This year has been a special one as we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Sentinel. There was a special event yesterday when the vehicles went up the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen – this is the run the vehicles used to do to check they were roadworthy. It was quite a sight.
"We are now looking forward to another action packed day tomorrow."
As well as Sentinel and a host of other steam powered vehicles the show has a host of other activities.
The main arena is the centrepiece of the event over the two days, with the grand parade of steam engines being the highlight, and parades of all kinds of other vehicles, from historic lorries and classic cars, to heavy horses and even a birds of prey display.
The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway's smallest steam locomotive was also be a big star of the weekend.
