It is the time of year when the fields are getting ploughed right across the country with farmers working tirelessly.

This picture entitled Agriculture is the winner of the Star Witness competition for May and perfectly captures the lines of the ploughed field as well as the wonderful colours in the backdrop from this early morning shot.

The photograph was taken by Bill Nevett, 60, an estate manager from Marchamley, near Market Drayton.

Mr Nevett said: "I remember the day I took this. I had gotten up early in the morning which I think is the best time to take pictures.

"Myself and my wife were heading to Condover Hall to take pictures when i spotted an amazing rape seed field and behind it was this field.

"I thought the lines were extremely pleasing and the colours were beautiful."

Mr Nevett took the picture from the air using a Phantom DJ Vision Plus drone.

"Drones are loads of fun and get such great pictures," he said.

Mr Nevett wins the £100 for the month of May and says he will be donating it to charity.
