32Red slips despite record revenue
Online gaming operator 32Red saw pre-tax profit fall from £1.2 million to £100,000 for the six months to the end of June despite achieving record revenue.
The Gibraltar-based business, which was established in 2002 and is listed on AIM, said total net gaming revenue for the half year was up by 22 per cent at £18.6m,
It said that mobile casino was driving growth and represented 42 per cent of total casino revenues from 32 per cent a year before.
Active casino players were up 22 per cent to 62,214 for the period.
32Red has bought the Roxy Palace business since June and trading in the second half of the year has remained strong.
Chief executive Ed Ware said: "We are delighted to report a record revenue performance for 32Red in the first half of 2015."
He said Roxy Palace was a superb fit for the business bringing a strong complementary brand which its was confident would generate significant incremental revenue opportunities.
