Rallying the Wright Way finished three points behind the Class 7 winners after recovering from two rounds without scoring.

The team competed in an M-Sport Fiesta R2T, with driver Charlie Wright and co-driver Adam Westerby finishing 24th overall and second in class at the final round, the Hills Ford Stages in Shropshire.

Oswestry-based GWR Fasteners supports the team as a technical partner, supplying nuts, bolts, rivets, clips and other components used in preparing and maintaining the rally car.

The partnership gives Harper Adams students practical experience of the engineering and logistical work involved in running a rally team.

Team principal Charlie Wright said: “They certainly keep our world screwed together, and that’s pretty important when you require consistency at 100mph!

“On a serious note, the team at GWR are fantastic. They do everything they can to keep our wheels turning and students learning.”
