Andreas Weimann says he's still in the dark on his long-term Wolves future – but is loving life at the club.

The Austrian international has featured in every game since joining on loan from Derby in January, starting 10 in total including the last seven.

That's the most regular football he's played in the last two seasons and Weimann seems open to the prospect of joining Wolves permanently in a pre-agreed £1.5million deal.

However he's yet to hear from Wolves whether they want to finalise the move, with the club set to sit down with Weimann in the coming weeks.

"I don't know, to be honest," he said of his future. "I've not spoken to anyone at Wolverhampton yet and I've not spoke to anyone at Derby.

"I don't know when that's going to happen – it's got to be soon!

"We'll see what happens. I don't know if Wolverhampton want me to stay, I'm sure in the next two or three weeks there'll be some talks and I'll know what's going to happen.

"I've always said I've really enjoyed it since I've been here, I've been playing my football and that's what every player wants."

Weimann, who has netted three times in gold and black, is likely to start again today when Paul Lambert's team host league leaders Brighton.

Wolves will be looking to get back on a winning run after last weekend's defeat at Bristol City.

"I'm enjoying it," Weimann said of life at Wolves. "I'm getting back to my match sharpness which I've clearly been missing for the past couple of seasons.

"Maybe also getting my chance through the middle helps, which I always say is my best position.

"I've always said, I can do a job on the wing but my best position is as a striker, that's where I want to play. But if I'm on the wing I'm happy there as well.

"If you're winning games everyone starts playing better. The last month has been good with the five wins...we needed them as well.

"When I first signed for Derby there was one spell where I started about 10 games in a row, so that was probably a year and a half ago.

"That's why I'm enjoying it right now. I feel really good. I think it's shown in the last month and a half, I've started nearly every game and felt good.

"We're going into games thinking we're going to score, whereas maybe in the losing run we were wondering where the goals were going to come from.

"Confidence is back up – we're enjoying playing with each other."

Lambert was highly critical of his players at Ashton Gate.

Weimann said the players all accepted their performance wasn't up to scratch – and they're keen to put it right today.

"Last week, the manager said as well, it wasn't good enough," the 25-year-old former Villa man added.

"We all knew it wasn't good enough. This week he's been as if nothing's happened – as he says, it's gone now, 24 hours after we start to look to the next game.

"You need to look at what's happened and why it's happened, maybe on Monday morning, but then after that there's no point looking back.

"Everyone's raring to put it right.

"The last couple of days it's been really sharp in training. Confidence is still high, we've got six games where we want to win as many as we can.

"It looks like Brighton are going to get promoted, they've been really good this year.

"We want to play against the best and show we can beat them as well.

"You want to finish as high as you can. If we finish strongly we can come back into pre-season feeling good.

"Monday (at Leeds) will be a completely different challenge. They're the teams you want to play against to see if you can compete with them."
