Jed Wallace: I've broke through for Wolves
Jed Wallace feels he deserved his chance at Wolves – and proclaimed his performance at Burnley has made a big breakthrough.
The 22-year-old excelled at Turf Moor last weekend in his Wolves comeback game, before the club's injury curse in 2015/16 struck again when Wallace was forced off with a thigh strain.
The right-midfielder has a chance of featuring again this season. And he feels Wolves fans have seen what he is capable of.
"It felt like it was a breakthrough game," Wallace said. "Going into next season I feel ready now. I'm more than ready to make an impact in the Championship."
It's been a frustrating season for Wallace, who moved from Portsmouth last summer.
An injury in pre-season derailed his progress at first, before a loan spell at Millwall saw him make a big impact with the Lions.
He now wants to do the same with Wolves. "It's been frustrating (this season)," he added.
"I felt like I should have had an opportunity before I went on loan, as every player would tell you.
"I felt I deserved an opportunity with the form of the team.
"It didn't quite work out that way.
"I've tried to get my head around (the injury).
"I've been in the gym with Jordan Graham in the past few days and I've tried to look at it from his point of view where he's looking at me and I've got five or six weeks out, and he's got five or six months.
"You've got to look at it from that point of view.
"This gives me a chance to work on a few things in the gym that I wanted to do over the summer, so I get a head start on that.
"If I play again this season that's a bonus.
"But I feel like people have seen the real side of what I can produce on the pitch now for Wolves, going into next season.
"I went out on loan and feel I proved myself at the top end of League One.
"I've bridged the gap."
