Wolves boss Terry Connor today declared youngsters David Davis and Anthony Forde will play a big part in the club's future.
Former Shrewsbury Town loanee Davis, 21, and Forde, 18, started in Saturday's goalless draw at Sunderland as Wolves kept a clean sheet for the first time in 31 games while, for Davis, it was his first 90 minutes in the Premier League.
The point ended a run of seven defeats on the spin, but left relegation a near certainty for Wolves.
They are nine points from the safety line, with only 12 to play for.
Connor believes the two midfielders are two of several homegrown youngsters who will play a part in what he reckons will be a bright future for the club.
He said: "I would like to think so and I hope we get a few more youngsters coming through.
"But it's important we reflect on the season and plot a way forward. I'm sure players like Davis and Forde will play a big part in that.
"You need young ones coming through and those two epitomise what we are trying to do at Wolves."
Wolves could be 11 points adrift by the time they host Manchester City on Sunday if Blackburn, Bolton and QPR all win their home games to Norwich, Swansea and Tottenham respectively on Saturday and Wigan win at Fulham.
But Connor won't stop believing while there is still hope of staying up.
He said: "It's not easy but you have got to do it."
