Sebastien Bassong today vowed there are "no doubts" Wolves have all the right ingredients to stay up as he prepared to tuck into his first Black Country derby.

The on-loan Tottenham defender is aiming to build on his impressive first game in Saturday's 2-1 win at QPR.

Bassong already knew Jamie O'Hara from Spurs and George Elokobi from the Cameroon squad.

And the 25-year-old believes the environment at Wolves is perfect to continue their turnaround at home to Albion on Sunday, after their first win in 10 Premier League games last weekend.

He said: "The squad have been fine. There's a great atmosphere in the camp, a great quality of players, so I have found it really good.

"Of course, I believe Wolves can stay up. And I'm sure we will. That's the target we've all got to have.

"It will be tough but I think we can do it. I know what I'm coming into and I have no doubts about it."

Bassong saluted the spirit he has discovered at Molineux and insisted the challenge of trying to keep Wolves up is as exciting as competing for the Champions League with Spurs.

He said: "You have to keep it going, keep smiling and keep working. They do that here and that's great.

"Whether you are battling for the Champions League or battling in a relegation fight, it's totally different but really exciting as well.

"You want to do something really good for the club and the fans by staying in the Premier League.

"That's another motivation but something I'm enjoying already.

"For now, I'm focusing on fighting relegation.

"The most important thing is to win games."
