Captain Roger Johnson today admitted defeat in the Black Country derby would leave Wolves in "dire straits" – but vowed there would be no last-gasp Hawthorns heartache again.

Wolves head to Albion on the back of four successive defeats and Johnson insisted the run will stop on Sunday.

"We don't want five losses on the bounce – we'll be in dire straits if we lose again," said the former Birmingham defender.

"We're looking to stop the rot, and, even if we don't perform well, we must get something out of the game."
