The Wolves boss is even more likely to bolster his squad if doubts over Adlene Guedioura (ankle) continue, especially with Dave Edwards still striving for full fitness.

Henry, who is just two short of 200 appearances for Wolves, has been watching developments with interest and admits he has to regain his consistency.

"I was delighted to have been considered for an England call-up last season, albeit a provisional 40-man squad," said the skipper, who was named in Fabio Capello's provisional party for a friendly against Denmark in February.

"But that's the least of my worries now though.

"My real concern is just getting back to the way I play in a good, consistent season because I felt I had a patchy campaign last year and I wasn't really happy with my form. I've got to concentrate on my performances."
