The Scot filled in for press duties for Paul Hurst and, and despite the boss saying he was still looking for new options with the window shutting at 11pm tonight, Doig revealed nothing looked likely.

Duo Ryan McGivern and AJ Leitch-Smith look the pair set to depart Montgomery Waters Meadow. Neither have been given a squad number this term and both are deemed surpluss to requirements by Hurst.

The boss has made 14 new signings to his squad this summer. He hinted that the side were light at left-back, but is comfortable with the options that could fill in there.

Doig said: "There's nothing as it stands. There might be a possible outgoing or two, possibly, but no news as it stands.

"It's very doubtful anything will be coming in. We're more than happy with the squad we've got.

"They're doing OK. They didn't do too well Tuesday but we'll see how they go Saturday."
