AFC Telford United gauntlet for new arrival
AFC Telford United manager Andy Sinton has thrown down the gauntlet to new signing Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton following his arrival at the club.
The former Stoke City and Darlington shot-stopper came in as cover last week following a shoulder injury to the club's second-choice goalkeeper Joe Collister.
The 22-year-old will also provide competition for the Bucks first-choice keeper Ryan Young, who has been an ever-present for the team in competitive games this season.
Sinton said: "I am delighted with Ryan Young but with Joe's injury I need someone to come and put him under pressure while Joe is out.
"The gauntlet is thrown down to Danzelle with what he does in squad games and in training to come and earn himself a deal here.
"I am not sure how long Joe Collister will be out. He has got a trapped nerve in his shoulder so, hopefully, not too long but I don't know."
Sinton added that they have no options on the loan deal for Michael Wylde, but he was a player the club might be interested in retaining if the move is a success.
He said: "I am delighted to have Michael Wylde here. He's a leader and he's a captain."
