AFC Telford 1 Nuneaton 0
STEVEN Leslie's fumbled free-kick was enough to send AFC Telford into the second round of the FA Trophy with victory at home to Nuneaton Town.
Boro keeper Adam Smith spilled his well-struck 25-yard effort over the line 18 minutes in.
Chris Sharp then headed over a very promising chance after great work from Luke Hubbins on the right wing.
Nuneaton's only real chance of the opening 45 minutes came when former Telford man Gavin Cowan headed straight at Young from Tom James' corner kick.
Nathan Rooney should have doubled the Bucks lead 18 minutes into the second half after Sharp had played him in on goal, but the midfielder hit the side-netting.
Andy Brown fired a good chance at Young at the other end and Simon Forsdick hit the bar with a curling corner kick.
Kevin Malaga and Gareth Dean then headed over in stoppage time from corners but Telford held on in bitterly cold and wet conditions for their first win in eight games.
