What can you do for AFC Telford?
Now this isn't about to turn into a love in. Or a 'we should be satisfied with what we have' and 'we shouldn't want more for our club' type of piece writes Bucks blogger Rob Hughes.
As a club, we at AFC Telford United are rather fortunate. We, as supporters, are even more fortunate.
Okay, the product on the field of play at the moment is struggling to live up to early season form and some fans are becoming a bit disenchanted and worried about the recent form - currently standing at seven without a win.
Others are becoming a bit disappointed by service issues – the club shop, range of products at the snack bar, length of time it takes to get a pie and a pint or collect a discounted ticket for holding a Flex Card (next available and usable for the Barrow fixture).
So, what is the point I am trying to make? Am I just going to criticise, moan and grumble? No, I am going to go one step further and celebrate what makes our club special.
Yes, there are a few creases at the moment. However, I truly believe you won't get another club in the country where the supporters have as much input as ours.
We, the supporters, can constantly steer and direct the direction the club is going. We have a chairman who actively listens to the fans and does all he can to create a steady media stream to keep supporters in the loop - whether this is through an open door policy or the new Sound Cloud initiative, that gives an insight into some of the day-to-day goings on at the club.
Other members of the club staff are always equally approachable, but we also have Trust Board Members, Club Board Members and last but not least, the most recently formed group, Forza Telford - a group of volunteer supporters that are willing to take on new initiatives and share a common goal to make the AFC Telford United experience better.
Whether this is offering a set of skills, a trade, a talent, a passion or an alternative view, the Forza group want to hear from you. You don't have to be committed to meeting every week.
Nothing irks me more, personally, than people who complain without ever wanting to look at the bigger picture. Improvements cannot be made without hard work, suggestions, positive dialogue and discussion.
Voting with your feet, when we are a fans' owned, fans' run club will only lead us in one direction. And it's not where I want to see us in five years time.
We should all be asking not what the club can do for us, but what can we do for our club?

C'mon Telford!
