AFC Telford United's Phil Trainer wants to see his side use their impressive 1-0 victory over Guiseley as a stepping stone to success, and the Bucks top scorer admits he doesn't care who gets the goals as long as Telford keep winning.
Trainer notched his ninth goal of the season in the Saturday's win and heads the Bucks' scoring charts.
But the former Oxford United midfielder said three points were worth more than any goal.
"I am top goalscorer at the minute but the goals are a bonus to me," the 32-year-old said. "I'm more interested in playing well and getting three points than getting the goals.
"Guiseley were probably one of the best teams we have seen this season. It was a good three points. The goal was nice but we need to beat the teams around us to get where we want to be at the end of the season. We need to get close to Alfretons of this league and hopefully we can do that now."
But Trainer, who scored five goals in four games in late August, admitted that finding the net did come as a relief.
"I think I peaked a bit too early," he said, "but the gaffer has said it was about time I scored."
Bucks boss Andy Sinton also heaped the praise on Trainer, who has had his critics during the opening months of the campaign.
"He is invaluable," Sinton said of the midfielder.
"I still hear whispers but I would love to be able to put one of those monitors on the players that shows you which player covers the most ground."
