Wrekin Housing Trust hits £500 million milestone

Telford's largest social housing landlord has pumped more than half a billion pounds into the service since it was launched two decades ago.

In the last five years alone Wrekin Housing Trust has built 808 new homes in the borough at a cost of £91,273,650. In addition, it is currently working at various locations including, in Dawley, developing a further 253 new homes at a cost of £29,229,704.

Trust managing director Wayne Gethings said: “It is truly wonderful to reach the £500 million milestone and it shows how committed we are to providing high-quality affordable homes right across the town."

Wrekin Housing Trust has more than 11,000 properties in Telford.
