The Huntsman of Little Wenlock is a family-run pub that has become a hit in the village since the current owners took over 12 years ago.

In 2010 Catherine and Peter Morris bought what was a derelict site at the time but, after a major refit, it was brought back to life to become a beautiful village pub.

The pub is based on Wellington Road, Little Wenlock, Telford.

Looking back at those early days, Peter says: "We were from the motor trade initially and this was the first time running a pub and so it was a challenge.

"We bought the site in 2010, started a major refit and then after an awful lot of man hours, a lot of money, we opened in November 2011 ahead of the Christmas trade.

"Opening ahead of Christmas was important for us and it helped us get off to a good start.

"There was a major transformation of the site as it was a derelict site set within a beautiful village at first but we put a lot of time and effort into making it what it is today, and now it has become a very popular site 12 years on."
